Victoria 3 2025-2026 Works

For 2025 I have worked on 1 major expansion and 2 immersion packs.

Charters Of Commerce kicks off 2025 by overhauling huge parts of the game. (mainly Trade, Companies and Diplomacy) The works displayed here showcases the new Diplomatic Treaties interface, new Prestige Goods icons for trade and companies, miscellaneous icons and a bonus papermap.

For the rest of 2025, we have two immersion packs with National Awakening focusing on the Balkans and Iberian Twlight on the Iberian penisula. The artwork showcased here explores new User interace and papermap reskins as well as various icons.

I also provided the art direction needed for the event illustrations for both immersion packs.

With the wireframes from the UX designer, I am able to explore having the the visuals of the game like the characters to be more player facing.As the Art Lead, I am always pushing for greater harmonization between UX, design and art.

From the beginning, the team knew that we want this feature to be immersive for the players. We wanted to capture the feel of having an actual Treaty with various articles in the treaty of the 19th century.

Prestige Goods are handcrafted goods icons that are based on real life products made in the 19th century. Looking as close to the real thing was way more important than it looking shiny and prestigious.

I also made miscellaneous icons for the dlc ( a new law, a new company and icons that support the new features like Trade and Diplomacy) Another improvement that this DLC had was also some Military improvements and that required some new Military icons.

The bonus papermap did not have a specific region to draw inspiration from. I also wanted to keep it clean and simple.

The details on this papermap draws inspiration from the woodblock printed lines that was prevalent in the 19th century.

The Balkan region showcases a diverse artistic and architectural heritage, shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. I have drawn inspiration from traditional regional folk art which shows both Byzantine and Ottoman influences.

​The Balkan region uses earthy tones, with the main colors being red, black, green and gold, and this is the color palette I landed on for the UI. For materials,  stone and stained glass was used in the main elements, while secondary headers use fabric.

Every DLC comes with new icons. A new category Special Characters required unique icons since these were very specific to some historical figures.

Led art direction for National Awakening event illustrations, with art by Daniel Percy. Inspired by the Austrian Empire, the work explored its relationship with its subjects and the contrast between rural and urban life, and the ensuing cultural clashes.

For Iberian Twilight, there were many production method icons made for plantations. There are also new character traits for Colonial Governor characters.
